You can cancel your order by filling out the form in the Customer Service section of our website. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to post to your account.
What is Safeload protection?

With options ranging from $500 to $5000 you can select the right one for your move. Safeload℠ Coverage Includes: Personal property(cargo) during the loading and unloading process.
How much do movers get tipped?
You may choose to tip your movers a flat rate or to give them a percentage of the total moving cost. A general rule of thumb is to tip $4 to $5 per hour per mover or to tip between 5 and 10% of the total move cost.
How long does it take for uhaul to refund?
Funds held are normally released within 5 business days of final transaction. If it has been more than 5 business days and the held amount is still not available let us help! Please speak with your financial institution to verify what they require to release the held amount.
What does Safeload coverage cover?
Personal Property Insured: This insurance covers the personal property of the Insured, or the property of others for which the Insured may be liable or have assumed liability prior to a loss, while being loaded into the assigned moving truck or unloaded at the assigned destination(s).
Does uhaul have a cancellation fee?
U-Haul does not charge any cancellation fees for U-Box® reservations. U-Box® reservations can also be modified through your uhaul.com account as well.
Is $50 a good tip for movers?
No matter the size of your move, it’s a good idea to tip your movers. Tipping between $50 and $100 per crew member for a full-day, larger move is a good place to start. A $20 to $30 tip for each crew member is standard for smaller, local moves that take less time.
Do I need to empty drawers for movers?

It’s natural to think that your drawers are technically like “boxes” themselves, but moving heavy furniture is hard enough when it’s empty, so imagine how much heavier a dresser is when the drawers are full!
Do you feed the movers?
Make sure to provide the movers with something to drink: water, soda, or sports drinks, it doesn’t really matter. But giving them something refreshing will help the move go quicker, as well as making them appreciative. You can skip out on doing this of course.
Do you have to wash a U-Haul before returning?
Check under the seats to make sure you’ve picked up all personal items as well as taking trash items, like bottles and food items, out. If your truck is dirty upon return a cleaning fee will be tacked onto your charges.

Does U-Haul hook up the trailer for you?
(Note: U-Haul will inspect your vehicle for towing and connect the trailer for you before you hit the road, but it is always a good idea to know how to connect the trailer yourself.)
What happens if you keep a U-Haul overnight?
While there is no discount for unused days, you are encouraged to return your rental equipment as soon as you’re finished with it. Doing so will eliminate any parking concerns and will also relieve you from being responsible for the equipment.
How far in advance can you cancel a U-Haul?
With a U-Haul move, you can modify/cancel your reservation online by logging into your U-Haul account, contacting your local U-Haul representative via phone or at your pick up location. Contacting a representative at least 24 hours prior will help avoid any penalties.
