In June, Barloworld completed the R1bn sale of its motor retail business as part of a strategy led by CEO Dominic Sewela to rejig the company’s portfolio. Sewela steered the company through the Covid-19 crisis, cutting costs in 2020 that included retrenchments and selling off loss-making assets.
